Bryan is head of the litigation Section, a member of the Board of Directors, and a shareholder in the firm. Bryan concentrates his practice primarily in construction, surety, and specialty litigation including defense of products liability, toxic torts, and class actions, both in court and in arbitration. A significant amount of Bryan’s work is representing manufacturers of synthetic stucco across the U.S. in products liability cases. He also handles personal injury cases. After graduating from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1986, Bryan serves as law clerk for the Honorable James E. Moore, South Carolina Circuit Judge (Now Senior Associate Justice, S.C. Supreme Court), and as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., currently Chief Judge of the United States District Court. Later in 1987, Bryan joined Bob Thomas, Bob Wood, and other attorneys in practicing law. In 1988, he, Bob Thomas and Bob Wood joined Gene Rogers and others in practicing law in the firm that is today called Rogers Townsend & Thomas. Bryan is admitted to the South Carolina Bar (Construction Law Section), and is a member of the Defense Research Institute, South Carolina Trial Defense Attorneys Association, the Forum Committee on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association, the Richland County Bar Association, and the John Belton O’Neal Inns of Court. Bryan is a frequent speaker at continuing education seminars for lawyers and trade groups. He has also contributed written materials on construction law issues for the Mechanic’s Lien Bulletin, The Credit Manager’s Survival Kit and various other trade journals.
