Stephen D. Baggett was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 23, 1950. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1976. Mr. Baggett received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in 1972, and continued his education with the University of South Carolina to receive a Juris Doctor degree in 1976. While attending the University of South Carolina, he was an active member of the South Carolina Law Review, participating as Notes Editor from 1975-1976. He served as County Attorney for Greenwood County from 1980-1997. He is a member of the Greenwood County Bar and the American Bar Association, as well as the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. Mr. Baggett's main areas of practice are Litigation, Insurance Practice, Professional Malpractice Law, Products Liability Law, and Government Law.
