Wade Ballard represents management in labor and employment matters in the courts, in arbitration, and before government agencies, including the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, the North and South Carolina Departments of Labor, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and other agencies at the federal, state and local level. He counsels businesses on the entire range of workplace issues and frequently conducts management training and continuing legal education on employment law, wage and hour law, and other issues of concern to employers and the bar. Wade has been certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Specialist in the area of Employment and Labor Law. He is a former member and past chairman of the South Carolina Supreme Courts Employment and Labor Law Specialization Advisory Board, and a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Defense Trial Lawyers Association and the Spartanburg Bar Association. Wade is the past president of the Spartanburg Boys Home and the past President of and current Treasurer of Senior Centers of Spartanburg. Wade has been a Co-Editor of The Florida Employment Law Desk Book, Florida Chamber of Commerce and is a frequent speaker at the American Conference Institute's Annual Seminar on Employment Practices Liability Insurance. He is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg and a current Vice Chairman of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce. He is admitted to all state and federal courts in North and South Carolina and to several U.S. Courts of Appeal. Wade is listed in The Best Lawyers of America 2006 and is also AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
